Even een smsje sturen en daarna je moeder bellen, het lijkt onschuldig. Ondertussen worden al je gegevens opgeslagen en ben je overal te volgen. In hoeverre wordt onze privacy nog beschermd? Daarover probeert de SIB duidelijkheid te krijgen met het congres ter ere van de 64e verjaardag van SIB op maandag 7 november 2011. De dag staat in het teken van privacy en het spanningsveld omtrent dit onderwerp. Het symposium wordt geopend door een interessante hoofdlezing van Sophie in 't Veld waarna interactieve workshops zullen worden gegeven door o.a. Quirine Eijkman (phd), onderzoeker Centrum voor Contra-terrorisme Universiteit Leiden, onderzoeksjournalist Brenno de Winter en Floor Terra van Bits of Freedom. Het congres begint om 13.00 in Plaza Danza aan het Boterdiep, de entree is gratis.

Just calling your mother and texting your friend that you're not coming home, it seems so normal. However, all your data is stored and you can be tracked everywhere. To which extent is your privacy still protected? This is the subject of the congress organised by DUNSA-Groningen on the 7th of November 2011 in celebration of our 64th birthday. The day will start at 1 PM with an introductory lecture by MEP Sophie in't Veld after which interactive workshops will be given by a.o. Quirine Eijkman, PhD of the University of Leiden and researcher of the Centre for Terrorism and Counterterrorism, research journalist Brenno de Winter, Europol and Floor Terra on behalf of Bits of Freedom. The congress will take place in Plaza Danza at the Boterdiep, there is free entrance.
